Here's a video I've been looking for since September, but I just didn't know what it was called.
Turns out the title is "Devil's Mine". It's a thrill ride video directed by Roger Wielgus, produced by Dream Factory International and distributed by Showscan Film Corporation.
This is amazing because "Devil's Mine" is the visual basis for motion simulator thrill rides like Six Flags Magic Mountain and at Excalibur in Las Vegas, among others.
But I know this video because it was used by KBTC, the PBS station in Tacoma, Washington, as filler between Saturday night TV shows like Doctor Who, Blakes 7 and Star Cops.
And most amazing of all . . . this thrill ride video is from 1992:

That was pretty cool, However actually being on one of those types of ride gives me motion sickness. Yea yea Spaceman Spiff gets motion sickness. _________________ Then out spake brave Horatius, The Captain of the Gate:

Sorry about the motion sickness.
With all the computing power around today is it not possible to top this old film from 1992? My searches online bring up a lot a crap video thrill rides. This stuff is so cool to me.I thought thrill ride video would be a natural outlet for new editing tools allowing animation hounds a chance to show off. Looks like I'm wrong. _________________ "Ask me about our Two for One transporter specials!"

I remember seeing this in a theme park, with moving chairs. I was laughing my ass of, especially near the end. Somehow it looks a lot less funny now, tough...

CGI thrill rides are the bomb, anyone ever do spiderman at uriversal? wow that is one amazing ride. I saw a backstage thing on it that discussed what happens when you experience it and I have to say even knowing what was happening did not take away from it one bit.
I also really like the earthquake one at Universal, so cool!
