Whedon: 'Angel could beat Edward Cullen'

Angel creator Joss Whedon has claimed that the brooding vampire would come out on top in a fight with Twilight's Edward Cullen.

The TV producer suggested that David Boreanaz's character would have the edge in a battle of the undead thanks to his past experiences as sadistic alter ego Angelus.

Speaking to MTV News, Whedon commented: "I think Robert Pattinson's really cool, [but] Angel would kick the s**t out of him.

"Okay, he's Angelus. There's no Edward Cullenus, okay. He just gets shiny in the sun… Boreanaz would have him down in a heartbeat. No offence, 'cause he's hot."

Whedon, who paired Angel for a romance with vampire slayer Buffy, added that he is a fan of the relationship between Edward and teenager Bella Swan in the Twilight series.

He commented: "There's something primal about that story. You can't get away from it, and it just works like gangbusters. I love it."

Jack Huston to play in Eclispe.

Here's the link where I saw the information.

Eclipse casting news: Jack Huston to play Royce
Posted by Lindsay, August 11, 2009

So here is confirmation that we will get Rosalie’s back story. The Hollywood Reporter reports that actor Jack Huston will be playing Royce King II, human Rosalie’s fiance and all-around bad guy.

If you aren’t familiar with Huston (I was not), THR says this:

Huston…stars on the ABC series “Eastwick,” which debuts next month. He next appears in the features “Boogie Woogie” and “Mr. Nice,” and he appeared in “Shrink,” which recently opened in limited release.

What do you guys think of this casting news. From the few photos I have seen of him, I think he will definitely look right for the time period and certainly gives off that creepy feel.

Side note for SYTYCD/Cat Deeley fans: Jack is her boyfriend!

First saw this on Team-Twilight.com via Facebook. But here is the Youtube video the Twilight: New Moon trailors meshed up together. A wonderful job of editing I thought.

I am so looking forward to seeing this movie, even though it looks like they have changed several things from the book.

Take a look here

Teilight is a good adventure movie. I have seen the movie long back.
First i read the book of it, it puts more scenes than the movie, as the movie can only be a 2and 1/2 hr one....
The fights in the movie are superb, overall i enjoyed watching the movie.

New Clip of Jacob black shown on The Jay Leno show when Taylor Lautner was on there. The clip starts around the 4 min mark.

Enjoy.

Well tomorrow is the big day. (Actually, tonight at midnight) But surprise, surprise. I won't be there.

As much as I love Twilight and can hardly wait to see this movie and the special effects, I'm not crazy enough to try to see it this first week. I can only imagine the numbers of screaming teenagers that will be packing the theaters.

When I go see a movie, I actually would rather hear it than the audience.

So one question a little off topic? How many of you have forgone seeing a movie you wanted to see for a week or two because you suspected the audience would be too rambunctious?

I never go anywhere near theatres on the opening week of a movie. I've broken that rule twice, and regretted it twice.

Sorry, as much as I love the Vampire movies Twighlight just isn't going to do it for me. Teenage angst and all the same old cliches. The romance just isn't the same calibre as what one would expect from the vamp movies of long ago. Way to High school. I think the problem for me is this type of movie has moved to far from the gothic noir feel of the older vampire movies. With the exception of the 70's & 80's vamps like Blackula that is. Those were just funny trying to remember that one think it was called full moon maybe? very funny.

Still think Interview was the best although the first Underworld was really good.

BTW I think angel and Edward would have cuddled and had a good ole emo brood fest, Now spike on the other hand, he would have beat him down for being a nancy boy Laughing

Well, Spiff took me to see New Moon today for our anniversary.

I'm not much at writing movie reviews but please allow me to say this:

Just like with most 'books to movies' there where changes made. Some good some and some unnecessary in my opinion. The main beef I had with this movie is that it went too fast. I know it is hard to fit the details from a book into a two hour time slot but I do believe they could have found someway of showing the passage of time a little better; however, I did like the way they did the four months time period as well as the CGI for the wolves.

The action was good and there were several humorous scenes which I enjoyed.

There might be some die-hard Twilighters who will be a little disappointed in this film, but over all it was an enjoyable movie. I do believe the guys (and gals who love action films) will enjoy New Moon more than Twilight.

I am glad that Spiff took me and yes I'll be buying the DVD when it comes out, but I do wish they had added at least another 30 mins to the length of this film so maybe it wouldn't have felt so rush.

To my fellow Twilighters, go see the movie I do believe you will enjoy it, but expect a very condensed series of events.

Hope this was okay. I do not want to take away from our members who do reviews.

Thank you for your time.

No problem Eyes. Embarrassingly, we don't have a regular movie reviewer right now. So thanks for the review.

Note to self... ( get it in gear) Embarassed
